Produced by hot rolling carbon steel or alloy steel billet into L-shaped cross section with two perpendicular legs. Features high strength, good torsional resistance, uniform leg thickness, and easy connection. Available steel grades: Q195, Q235, Q355, S235JR, S355JR, SS400, A36, A572 Gr50. Types: equal leg (leg width equal) and unequal leg (leg width different). Sizes (equal leg): 20×20mm – 200×200mm (thickness 3–24mm). Sizes (unequal leg): 25×16mm – 200×125mm (thickness 3–18mm). Standard lengths: 6m, 9m, 12m (custom available). Surface finish: black (as-rolled), pickled & oiled, or galvanized. Corner radius: internal radius standard per specification. Tolerance: EN 10056 or GB/T 706. Manufacturing: hot rolling with straightening and cutting. End finish: plain, mitered, or drilled. Meets ASTM A36, EN 10025-2, JIS G3192, or GB/T 706 standards. Custom lengths, punching, and hot-dip galvanizing available.

Application description
Widely used in building frames, roof trusses, tower structures (transmission towers, communication masts), bridges, industrial platforms, shelving systems, machinery supports, vehicle frames, trailers, and reinforcement of concrete structures. Also suitable for fencing, brackets, and general fabrication. The L-shaped profile provides excellent structural rigidity and easy welded or bolted connections.
Production description
Carbon steel billet is heated to 1150–1250°C, then hot rolled through roughing and finishing mills to form the L-shaped cross section (equal or unequal legs). The angle is straightened, cut to length, and cooled. Surface finish as-rolled (black) or pickled & oiled.
Shipping Packaging
For export, steel angle bars are bundled with interleaved separators, secured with steel straps, fitted with edge protectors, and packed on ISPM-15 pallets or steel frames. Labels include grade, size, length, quantity, and heat number for safe sea freight.

FAQ
1. How to store steel angles to prevent bending and rust?
Store on level, dry ground on wooden sleepers or steel racks, keep bundles elevated. Stack with separators between layers to prevent sagging. For long-term storage, apply rust preventive oil and keep under cover. Surface rust is common and can be removed by wire brushing before use. Do not stack heavy loads on angles to maintain straightness.
2. Can steel angles be welded or bolted easily?
Yes. Steel angles are designed for easy connection. Welding (MIG, arc, TIG) is straightforward using standard procedures for carbon steel. Bolting is also simple – drill or punch holes in the legs as required. Always clean welding area from scale or coating. For galvanized angles, remove zinc coating near weld zone or use ventilation to avoid fumes.
3. What is the difference between equal leg and unequal leg steel angles?
Equal leg angles have both legs of the same width, providing symmetrical strength, ideal for square frames, brackets, and general fabrication where load is uniform. Unequal leg angles have one leg longer than the other, offering higher bending strength in one direction, suitable for roof trusses, irregular structures, or applications where space constraints require different leg dimensions.
