Product Description

Produced by hot rolling or cold rolling aluminum sheet with patterned rolls to form raised designs on the surface. Features light weight, good corrosion resistance, excellent slip resistance, and attractive appearance. Available alloys: 1050, 1060, 1100, 3003, 5052, 5083, 6061. Pattern types: diamond (standard), tear drop, or lentil (stucco). Thickness range: 0.8mm – 6.0mm (cold rolled), 6.0mm – 10.0mm (hot rolled). Width: up to 2000mm (standard 1220mm, 1250mm, 1500mm). Length: custom up to 6000mm. Surface finish: mill finish (bright), embossed pattern only, or anodized (silver, bronze, black). Temper: O (annealed), H14, H16, H18, H24, H32. Excellent corrosion resistance (especially marine grades 5052/5083). Easy to cut, bend, and weld. Meets ASTM B209, EN 485, GB/T 3618 standards. Application description

Widely used for anti-slip flooring in truck beds, trailer floors, ramps, stair treads, industrial walkways, marine decks (boats, ships), and railway platforms. Also suitable for wall cladding, elevator cabins, vehicle running boards, and decorative architectural panels. The lightweight, corrosion resistance, and slip-resistant pattern make it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications where safety and durability are required.

Production description

Aluminum sheet is hot or cold rolled through patterned rolls to form raised diamond, tear drop, or lentil designs on the surface. The sheet is then leveled, annealed (if required), cut to size, and optionally anodized or coated. Finished plates are inspected for pattern uniformity and thickness tolerance.

Shipping Packaging

For export, aluminum checkered plates are interleaved with kraft paper or foam to protect the raised pattern, packed on ISPM-15 pallets, secured with steel straps, and fitted with edge protectors. Labels include alloy, pattern type, dimensions, and quantity for safe sea freight.

FAQ

1. How to store aluminum checkered plates to prevent pattern damage and oxidation?

Store on dry, level wooden pallets, stack flat with soft separators (foam or paper) between layers to protect the raised pattern. Keep original wrapping intact. Avoid dragging plates across each other. For long-term storage, keep indoors with humidity below 60%.

2. Can aluminum checkered plates be bent or welded without losing the pattern?

Yes. For bending, use a press brake with a padded die to avoid flattening the pattern. Bending perpendicular to the pattern direction gives better results. For welding, use TIG or MIG with appropriate filler (4043 or 5356); weld on the flat side if possible. The pattern remains intact outside the heat-affected zone.

3. What is the difference between diamond pattern and tear drop pattern for slip resistance?

Diamond pattern (standard) provides excellent slip resistance in dry, oily, or wet conditions and is the most common choice for industrial flooring. Tear drop pattern offers good slip resistance and is easier to clean, often used for food processing, decorative walls, and vehicle running boards. Both meet anti-slip requirements; choose based on cleaning frequency and aesthetic preference.
