Product Description
Produced by extrusion or drawing from high-purity copper billet, followed by annealing and surface cleaning. Features excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, good corrosion resistance, high ductility, and easy joining. Available grades: TP2 (C12200 / Cu-DHP, phosphorus deoxidized), T2 (C11000), and oxygen-free copper (OF, C10200). Shapes: round, square, rectangular, and pancake coil. Outer diameter (round): 3mm – 219mm. Wall thickness: 0.3mm – 10mm. Length: 3m – 6m (straight); coil length up to 1000m. Surface finish: bright annealed (soft), clean (hard), or pickled. Temper: soft (annealed), half hard, hard (drawn). Pancake coils available for air conditioning and refrigeration lines. Excellent bendability, flaring, and soldering/brazing characteristics. Meets ASTM B280, EN 1057, JIS H3300, or GB/T 17791 standards. Custom sizes, lengths, and temper available.

Application description
Widely used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems (condenser and evaporator coils, connecting lines), plumbing and potable water supply, heating systems (radiators, underfloor heating), heat exchangers, solar thermal panels, gas distribution lines, medical gas systems, and automotive brake lines. Also suitable for industrial hydraulic and pneumatic lines. The high thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and ease of joining (soldering, brazing) make it the preferred choice for HVAC and plumbing applications.
Production description
Copper cathode is melted and cast into solid billet. The billet is extruded into a hollow shell, then cold drawn through a series of dies and over a mandrel to achieve precise diameter and wall thickness. Intermediate annealing softens the tube for further drawing. The tube is then straightened, cut to length (or coiled), cleaned, and inspected.
Shipping Packaging
For export, copper tubes are bundled with plastic end caps, wrapped with VCI paper and moisture-proof polyethylene, packed on ISPM-15 wooden pallets, secured with steel straps, and fitted with edge protectors. Pancake coils are placed on reels or pallets. Labels include grade, dimensions, temper, and heat number for safe sea freight.

FAQ
1. How to store copper tubes to prevent surface oxidation (tarnishing) and mechanical damage?
Store in dry, clean indoor area on wooden pallets or racks. Keep original plastic end caps and moisture-proof wrapping intact. Avoid contact with acids, alkalis, or ammonia-based cleaners. For long-term storage, maintain humidity below 60%. Do not stack heavy loads on tubes to prevent bending. Minor surface tarnish does not affect performance and can be cleaned with a mild acid solution before installation.
2. What is the difference between TP2 (C12200) and T2 (C11000) copper tubes for HVAC and plumbing?
TP2 (phosphorus deoxidized copper) contains a small amount of phosphorus (0.015–0.040%) which improves weldability and resistance to hydrogen embrittlement, making it the standard choice for refrigeration and air conditioning systems where brazing is required. T2 (pure copper, 99.9%) has higher electrical conductivity but is less common for plumbing; it is used for electrical applications. For water supply, heating, and refrigeration, always choose TP2.
3. Can copper tubes be bent or flared without cracking?
Yes, but use proper tools and technique. For bending, use a tube bender with correct radius (minimum 3× OD for soft temper, 5× OD for hard temper). For flaring (for flare connections), use a flaring tool and ensure the tube end is clean, deburred, and annealed (soft temper). Hard temper tubes should be annealed locally before flaring. Always use copper-specific lubricant when flaring. Do not over-flare.
